It is an informative and historical look at the progression of biological science. I enjoyed reading it to relax at night.
Thought it would be more current instead of an historical review. I teach anatomy & physiology so IO was expecting more. My bad.

Any student of the history of science (or just science, or just history) can appreciate the brilliant medico-physiological insights (and spectacular boo-boos) in this sort of archaic reference. Personally, I could read this stuff forever.
